Boetti's Lampada Annuale is a masterpiece of ARTE POVERA movement, founded by Boetti himself together with a group of artists, thinking that ART must be deeply metabolized and it can't just satisfy yr  senses and move the emotions. The movement ended  in 1972 after a few years of artistic activity. ARTE POVERA is mainly CONCEPT ART. Specifically this lamp switches on  for just 11 secs random every year. The artist doesn't want to express the fact but the idea of the fact itself. Pure concept. I found it extraordinary !

La Lampada Annuale di Boetti è uno dei capolavori dell'ARTE POVERA,un movimento fondato dallo stesso Boetti e da un ristretto gruppo di altri artisti.Essi pensano che l'arte vada profondamente metabolizzata, il cui fine non sia quello di soddisfare solo i propri sensi e scatenare emozioni. L'ARTE POVERA è ARTE CONCETTUALE per eccellenza. In particolare questa lampada si accende solo per 11 secondi in un momento imprecisato dell'anno. In questo modo l'artista non vuole esprimere l'avvenimento bensì l'idea dell'avvenimento stesso. Puro concetto. Che trovo straordinario!
