Rushing development of enchanting Asian countries always impress me a lot! In my imagination Asian countries are still those lands full of spirituality and ancient rituals..but of course they are not! And even the most remote ones now appear like the Seoul Square Media Canvas above. Amazing, chaotic,lively but globalized!

Lo sviluppo inarrestabile degli incantevoli paesi asiatici mi impressiona sempre molto! Nel mio immaginario i paesi asiatici sono ancora le terre della spiritualità e degli antichi rituali..ma ovvio che no! Ed anche i più remoti appaiono ora come Seoul Square Media Canvas. Incredibili, caotiche, vive ma globalizzate!

Enlightened Coatrack



TABARD by Pallucco




 Illuminated coat rack with a completely new function and contemporary look. Conceived by industrial designer Denis Santachiara for the Italian lighting company Pallucco, Tabard (a short overcoat worn by knights) subtly recalls Europe's days of monarchs and maidens with irony and light. The rigid shell covers a traditional coat rack, protecting the garments while emitting a substantial amount of light.

Appendiabiti illuminato con una funzione completamente nuova ed un look contemporaneo. Concepito dal designer industriale Denis Santachiara per l'azienda italiana di illuminazione Pallucco, Tabard (un cappotto corto indossato dai cavalieri) ricorda sottilmente il tempo di monarchi e fanciulle dell'Europa medievale con ironia e leggerezza. La scocca rigida copre un portabiti tradizionale, proteggendo i capi  dalla notevole quantità di luce emessa.

For fetish lovers only!

I'd like to celebrate my hundredth post dedicating it to fetish lovers! Both are made by Rebecca Johnson and the table lamp is, in my opinion, spectacular! It's what a fetish lover expects from a fetish lamp!

These two lamps were exhibited at " Furniture fetish" last August in Hollywood at Antebellum Gallery by Rick Castro - promoting and showcasing erotic and fetish culture.

Marcelo Coelho's "Six-Forty by Four-Eighty," created in collaboration with studio partner (and co-creator behind the Rube Goldberg music video for OK Go) Jamie Zigelbaum for the 2010 Design Miami/Basel forum.

 

 

 

 

220 pixel-tiles that comprise the installation, modified in color, wall placement and lighting speed, with the human touch serving as an inter-connective conduit between each tile. 

An idea which keeps a living connection between the humans and technology.

220 mattonelle che compongono l'installazione, modificate nel colore, il posizionamento a parete e la velocità di illuminazione. Il tocco umano serve come un  condotto inter-connettivo tra i pannelli.

Un'idea che tiene viva la connessione tra l'essere umano e la tecnologia.

Lampada o Porcospino ?

Is it a lamp or a porcupine ? Designed by Daisuke Hiraiwa, each one is created by gluing hundreds of toothpicks together. 

To create his stunning toothpick pendant lamps, Daisuke arranges hundreds of toothpicks together and he paints over the ends with a flexible Japanese glue.

Although they’re not technically recycled toothpicks and the use of glue isn’t at all eco friendly, we were struck by the Stamen chandeliers’ innovative use of everyday material. Just be sure to hang them away from eye level!

ognuna é stata creata mettendo insieme centinaia di stuzzicadenti e poi incollati. Anche se non sono stuzzicadenti riciclati  ( per fortuna..) e l'uso della colla non é proprio eco sostenibile, ci colpisce l'utilizzo originale di articoli di uso quotidiano. Basta assicurarsi che stiano lontano dagli occhi !
