Durante i restauri presso Villa Arconati, sostenuti dalla Fondazione Augusto Rancilio, un'azienda italiana d'eccellenza per la produzione di lampadari in stile Nervilamp srl, ha realizzato ad hoc per la sala rossa quattro lampadari che ne consentono la fruizione anche in occasione di eventi serali e notturni. Il committente ha selezionato i lampadari dalla vasta gamma aziendale, che poi sono stati appositamente customizzati Per illuminare l’arte e la cultura in Villa Arconati-FAR è stata scelta l’energia al “100% rinnovabile” di E.ON, sostenibile e proveniente solo da fonti rinnovabili, attraverso un sistema di illuminazione ad alta efficienza.

During the restoration at Villa Arconati, supported by the Augusto Rancilio Foundation, an Italian company, specialized in the production of stylish chandeliers, Nervilamp srl, has created four chandeliers for the red room to be used in the evening and also during night events. The client has selected the chandeliers from the company's wide range, then specially customized. To illuminate the art and culture in Villa Arconati-FAR, E.ON's 100% renewable energy has been selected,coming only from renewable sources, through a high-efficiency lighting system.

1967-2017 Una splendida cinquantenne !

Coupé golden edition by Oluce

Coupé è una lampada della collezione classica di Oluce, disegnata da Joe Colombo nel 1967. Per celebrare il 50° anno di vita, la lampada viene realizzata in un’inedita variante oro della storica piantana, in edizione limitata di soli 500 esemplari con un'incisione sulla base che celebra i 50 anni.

Nel 1968 Coupé ottiene  l’International Design Award dell’American Institute of Interior Designers, a Chicago, ed è parte delle collezioni permanenti del MoMA di New York e del Neue Sammlung Museum di Monaco di Baviera.

Coupé Lampada da terra golden edition by Oluce

Coupé is a classic Oluce collection lamp designed by Joe Colombo in 1967. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its life, the lamp is produced in an unusual golden variation of the historic floor lamp, limited edition of only 500 pieces with an engraving on its base that celebrates 50 years.

In 1968 Coupé received the International Design Award of the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago and is part of the permanent collections of MoMA in New York and of the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich.

Clay Paky, azienda bergamasca,parte della multinazionale Osram e leader nella produzione di proiettori automatizzati per grandi show televisivi, spettacoli teatrali ed eventi pubblici a livello mondiale, ha aperto il MoMS, il nuovo museo dedicato al Modern Show Lighting,creando un percorso culturale e non solo spettacolare o promozionale.

Il MoMS si trova all'interno della sede di Clay Paky in Via Pastrengo 3/B a Seriate in provincia di Bergamo ed è il primo museo europeo specificatamente dedicato alla luce intesa come strumento che crea emozioni, piuttosto che come mero oggetto funzionale. Lungo il percorso interattivo e multimediale, la luce è protagonista e avvolge lo spettatore con suggestivi effetti scenografici dal forte impatto emotivo. All'interno del museo sono rappresentati tutti i settori in cui la luce scenografica è un elemento fondamentale : concerti, musical teatrali, show televisivi,discoteche, attrazioni nei parchi a tema,esposizioni, eventi inaugurali, installazioni ed interventi di arredo urbano.

Il museo dispone di un archivio storico e di un sito web : www.moms-museum.org e si propone come location per l'organizzazione di seminari e corsi di formazione dedicati ai professionisti dell'illuminazione scenografica, agli studenti degli istituti professionali ed universitari, ma anche agli appassionati di un settore in continua evoluzione che coniuga l'emozione con la tecnologia più evoluta.

Il museo è aperto dal lunedì al venerdì ( non festivi) dalle 9.00 alle 12.30 e dalle 14.30 alle 18.00.

L'accesso al museo è gratuito.

Clay Paky, an italian company close to Bergamo, part of the multinational Osram and leading manufacturer of  projectors for TV shows, theater performances and public events, opened the MoMS, the new museum dedicated to Modern Lighting Show, for creating a cultural way and not only spectacular or promotional ones.

The MOMS is located inside Clay Paky headquarter, in Via Pastrengo 3 / B in Seriate. It is the first European museum specifically dedicated to light as a tool, able to create emotions, rather than as a mere functional object. Along the interactive and multimedia path, the light is the key player and welcomes the visitor with impressive special effects of strong emotional impact. Inside the museum all sectors are represented in which the spectacular light is a key element: concerts, musicals,theater, tv shows, nightclubs, theme parks' attractions, exhibitions, events, installations and urban places. The museum has an historical archive and a website : www.moms-museum.org. The location  can be used for the organization of specific seminars and training classes for scenic lighting professionals, university or technical students but also for all those people, keen on a sector in continuous evolution,combining emotion with the most advanced technology.

The museum is open from Monday to Friday (except holidays) from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 2 to 6 pm

The Light - The Vision of a Bright Man

In occasione dell'inaugurazione di " The Light" The vision of a bright man",un allestimento temporaneo per raccontare e ricordare Joe Colombo, attraverso la riedizione di uno dei suoi progetti realizzati da Oluce, ho potuto constatare come l'effetto di forme semplici come un globo di luce sia di una bellezza senza tempo.  All'interno degli spazi di Understate, l'azienda presenta "The Globe", prodotto del 1964 realizzato originariamente nella versione da tavolo e a sospensione e ora anche da parete. La lampada è una sfera in vetro soffiato trasparente  e contiene al suo interno il riflettore cilindrico in metallo.

L'installazione sarà visibile da Understate a partire dal 23 ottobre fino al 30 novembre.

During the opening of "The Light" The vision of a bright man ", a temporary show to celebrate Joe Colombo, with the new re-edition of one of his projects, produced by Oluce, I could see that the effect of simple shapes like a light globe is a timeless beauty. Inside the spaces of Understate, the company presents "the Globe", produced in 1964. Originally it was made as a table lamp and as a suspension but now also available as a wall sconce. The lamp is a transparent ball of blown glass and contains a cylindrical metal reflector.

The installation will be visible at Understate from October 23 until November 30.

Prima che iniziasse Expo 2015, mi sono domandata più volte come realizzare un connubio tra cibo e luce e se questo avesse un senso. Tra le varie mostre sul cibo in questi mesi a Milano, una delle più belle, a mio avviso, è Lumièra, organizzata da Ghilli Antichità in collaborazione con il Rifugio Delicatessen. Una sfida, diciamo così, parlando con l'Arch. Isabella Giovanella, titolare insieme al marito, l'Arch.Paolo Giovanella e la cognata Sabrina, di Ghilli Antichità. All'inizio del progetto, aleggiava un leggero scetticismo : se i bei lampadari in cristallo d'epoca, si sarebbero ben inseriti in un ambiente rustico come quello del Rifugio Delicatessen. Invece i risultati sono stati straordinari : una luce calda ma allo stesso tempo brillante. Sono stati scelti lampadari non troppo "importanti" poiché il soffitto è basso, illuminati con lampadine da 3 w ciascuna, proprio per evitare l'effetto "showroom". L'inaugurazione della mostra Lumièra è stata davvero bella ! Molta gente, ottimi spuntini a base di pane di segale, speck, formaggi, risotto alla mela e speck con ottimi vini ed aperitivi. Ecco che allora un connubio è possibile : la ristorazione di un ottimo livello,illuminata da lampadari senza tempo.  Lumièra sarà aperta fino al 3 novembre 2015- Tutti i giorni dalle ore 12.00 alle ore 23.00. Una selezione di lumiere d'epoca sarà inoltre visionabile presso Ghilli Antichità dalle 9 alle 12.30 e dalle 15.00 alle 19.00, in via Ampère, 55, Milano.

Un'ottima ragione per fare un salto al rifugio sotto una luce d'altri tempi !

Before Expo 2015, I wondered several times the way to combine food with light and if this could make sense. Among the various recent exhibitions about food  in Milan, one of the best, in my opinion, is Lumièra, organized by Ghilli Antichità in co-operation with Rifugio Delicatessen. A challenge, talking with Arch. Isabella Giovanella, owner with her husband, Arch.Paolo Giovanella and her sister in law Sabrina,of Ghilli Antichità. At the beginning of the project, they were slightly skeptic: will  the beautiful vintage crystal chandeliers fit in a rustic set like the one of Rifugio Delicatessen ? However, the results have been extraordinary: a warm light but at the same time brilliant. They chose small chandeliers because the ceiling is low, illuminated with  3 w bulbs each,to avoid the "showroom effect". The launch of Lumièra was really great! Crowded, delicious snacks made with rye bread, ham, cheese, risotto with apple and bacon,fine wines and aperitifs. A combination is then possible: high quality food enlightened by timeless chandeliers. 

Lumièra will be open until 3rd November, everyday from 12 pm to 11 pm.  A selection of chandeliers will be available at Ghilli Antichità, from monday to saturday, from 9 am to 12.30 pm/ 3 pm to 7 pm, via Ampère 55, Milano.

La Villa reale di Monza risplende di luce nuova con Album

Le cucine di Villa Reale a Monza

Il 26 giugno 2014 è stata celebrata con una cerimonia pubblica la fine dei lavori di restauro della Villa e del parco Reale di Monza.

Venere, il corpo illuminante creato da Album nel 2009, si è reso protagonista del progetto di restauro in alcuni locali della villa, trasformati dallo Studio CLS Architetti di Milano nel ristorante “Le cucine di Villa Reale”. Per valorizzare al meglio un ambiente speciale caratterizzato da un soffitto ad ampie volte, lo studio milanese ha scelto infatti di utilizzare il sistema illuminante Universo Led di Album applicando ben 840 corpi luminosi Venere :un sistema che, alimentato da un rosone con calotta di vetro smerigliato da cui si diramano molteplici cavi a treccia su cui sono sospesi i corpi illuminanti Venere, permette di portare la luce solo dove serve e valorizzare l’ambiente secondo le più personali esigenze creative.Non solo : coi suoi 2 watt a corpo illuminante, Venere garantisce 700 mq di illuminazione e un risparmio energetico potente almeno quanto la sua semplicità di manutenzione.

In June 26, 2014 it was unveiled and celebrated with a public ceremony the restoration work of Villa Reale and its park in Monza.Venere, the luminaire created by Album in 2009, has become the protagonist of the restoration project in several rooms of the villa, transformed by Studio CLS Architects of Milan in the restaurant "The kitchens of Villa Reale". To highlight a special environment characterized by a ceiling with wide vaults, the architects have chosen to use the LED lighting system Universo by Album, applying 840 Venere luminaires: a system, powered by a  frosted glass ceiling rose, from which cables whith  suspended luminaires Venere, brings light just where it is needed and enhance the environment according to the most personal creative  needs.Non only that: with its 2 watt, Venere guarantees 700 square meters of lighting and energy savings as powerful as its ease of maintenance.

Temporary Installation by  melogranoblu at SUPERSTUDIO - Via Tortona, 27 Milano during FUORI SALONE 2013

This time I enjoyed Euroluce 2013 very much, hanging around with my colleagues and stopping by at many stands...sometimes invited by customers for a good Prosecco cheers... I visited all four halls, met some customers and found new business opportunities. That's all everyone can expect from a good fair! Not very crowded but visitors coming from all over the world. The exhibitors were less in number compared to previous editions, but I must admit the quality of the lighting fixtures was really amazing! Not exciting technological products, but design and first quality materials were certainly there! I am preparing a dedicated slideshow to EUROLUCE 2013 in my blog shortly, so that everyone can be inspired.

For celebrating EUROLUCE 2013, I have chosen this temporary installation by melogranoblu. It was presented at SUPERSTUDIO in Via Tortona, 27 Milano for FUORI SALONE, the now very famous melting pot during the various editions of SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE.

Stavolta a EUROLUCE 2013 mi sono proprio divertita, gironzolando con i miei colleghi, fermandoci in numerosi stand...a volte invitati per un brindisi con del buon Prosecco.. Ho visitato tutti 4 i padiglioni, incontrato alcuni clienti e trovato alcune nuove opportunità di collaborazione. E' tutto quello che ognuno si aspetterebbe da un buon evento fieristico! Non affollatissimo ma visitatori da tutto il mondo.Meno espositori rispetto alle passate edizioni però devo ammettere che la qualità dei prodotti era davvero eccellente! Non grandi novità tecnologiche ma design e qualità decisamente al top!. Sto preparando una slideshow dedicata a EUROLUCE 2013 qui sul mio blog a breve, così da ispirare qualcuno..

Per celebrare EUROLUCE 2013, ho scelto questa installazione temporanea di melogranoblu. E' stata presentata presso SUPERSTUDIO in Via Tortona, 27 Milano per il FUORI SALONE , l'ormai famoso punto d'incontro durante le varie edizioni del SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE
