QL BELL : le campane ad induzione che rendono confortevole il luogo di lavoro

Un’altra ottima soluzione nella gamma degli apparecchi ad induzione QL. È la nostra QL BELL, una campana in alluminio con vetro di protezione, da 165W. Il progetto con questa soluzione, iniziato nella primavera 2015, terminerà entro la fine di quest’anno , con l’illuminazione di un capannone industriale con altezza di 7,5 mt, dove erano prima installate delle vapori di mercurio da 250W. Il sito è per la produzione di carpenteria medio piccola, piattaforme aeree, gru da camion, bracci per macchine sollevatrici di cemento.  Nonostante il capannone non sia ancora stato completato con le nuove installazioni, i lavoratori hanno già notato la differenza di  luce : una luce più uniforme, confortevole e che meglio definisce l’ambiente circostante..oltre al risparmio energetico.

Another good solution in the range of QL induction. It is our QL BELL, an aluminum high-bay reflector  with diffuser, 165W. The project  has started in spring 2015 and  it will end by the end of this year, with the enlightment of an industrial building with a height of 7.5 meters, where  250 W mercury  vapour high-bays were previously installed . The site is  for the production of medium-small carpentry, aerial work platforms, truck cranes, booms for lifting cement machines. Despite the project  has not yet been completed with the new installations, the workers have already noticed the difference in the  light: much more uniformity, more comfortable and a better  definition of  the environment ..apart from the energy saving.

Schio è per numero di abitanti il terzo comune della provincia di Vicenza e decimo del Veneto. Il centro abitato di Schio è attorniato da un anfiteatro montagnoso con un polo industriale molto importante.

L'antica cultura rurale, comunque ancora presente in questa cittadina, è testimoniata soprattutto dalla presenza di molte contrade nei suoi colli e montagne.

Diversi anni fa il Comune di Schio decise di installare l’illuminazione pubblica in tutto il suo territorio per offrire un ambiente sicuro sia ai suoi abitanti sia ai turisti di passaggio. Nelle belle lanterne storiche, presenti nel territorio comunale, furono installate delle sorgenti al sodio alta pressione , con una durata di 20.000 ore. In base ad un consumo stimato di ca. 4000 ore/anno, le lampade vengono cambiate ogni 5 anni circa e nelle contrade montane la manutenzione crea sempre qualche difficoltà.

In base al nuovo progetto di efficientamento dell’Illuminazione Pubblica e ricercando soluzioni valide, il Comune ha optato per il retrofit nelle lanterne storiche, cioè per la sostituzione delle sole sorgenti luminose, mantenendo le lanterne originali. Questa soluzione è risultata la più conveniente dal punto di

vista economico ed anche la più eco-sostenibile. Dopo aver testato due tecnologie alternative, quella a LED e quella ad induzione, il Comune ha optato per l’induzione QL. I sistemi QL sono prodotti in Olanda dalla QL COMPANY, produttore e fornitore di soluzioni innovative per il risparmio energetico. I vantaggi principali della tecnologia ad induzione rispetto a quella a LED sono la qualità della luce ad induzione QL, con uno spettro più diffuso rispetto a quello più concentrato delle fonti LED e la drastica riduzione dei

costi di manutenzione, in quanto l’induzione QL dura 15 anni, garantiti dalla comprovata tecnologia, rispetto ai soli 5 anni delle fonti tradizionali del sodio alta pressione sostituite.

Schio is a well-know town in the province of Vicenza. It is surrounded by mountains, named the Little Dolomites. From these hills you have a marvellous view of the city and surrounding countryside. The mountains are also home for many people who life in very small towns. Many years ago, the municipality of Schio decided to install public lighting to offer the inhabitants and tourists a safe environment. The beautiful historical lanterns are equipped with high pressure sodium lighting systems, with an average lifetime of 20.000 hours. Based on 4.000 burning hours per year, this means that all lamps should be replaced within five years in an area where maintenance is more expensive and difficult. In their search for a more energy-efficient and long life lighting solution, they found out that retrofitting the current lanterns was definitely the most economical and sustainable solution. After testing two different technologies, LED and induction, they selected QL induction lighting as their preferred retrofit solution. QL systems are made in Holland by QL COMPANY, a well established manufacturer and supplier for energy saving solutions. The most important advantage of QL induction over LED in this case was the broader illumination. Replacement of the lamp system is now only required after more than 15 years, which will dramatically decrease the maintenance costs.

Il Comune di S. Martino Buon Albergo in provincia di Verona ha conseguito un altro importante risultato. In seguito alla riqualificazione dell’Illuminazione Pubblica con le lampade ad induzione QL su tutto il territorio Comunale, San Martino ha ottenuto il riconoscimento dei Certificati Bianchi da parte del GSE, pari a un risparmio energetico di 260 tonnellate equivalenti petrolio ( TEP). La vendita di questi titoli sul mercato regolamentato frutterà circa 20.000 euro che verranno utilizzati per l’installazione di nuovi punti luce in zone attualmente carenti o non servite. Nel nuovo sito di S. S. Martino Buon Albergo municipality in Verona province has achieved another very important result. Thanks to the project of efficiency for their Public Lighting with QL induction systems on their whole territory, the Municipality could get the white certificates by GSE, equal to an energy saving of 260 toe (tonnes of oil equivalent). Selling these credits on the regulated market will bring to 20.000 euro, which will be used for the installation of new luminaires in depressed or still dark areas. In the new S. Anche la Svizzera ha recentemente optato di utilizzare la tecnologia ad induzione per la segnaletica di emergenza nella galleria Graitery, nel cantone di Berna. Il progetto è terminato alla fine del 2013 con l'installazione di ca 50 QL 55W da Hugentobler Spezialleuchten.

The Graitery tunnel is a brand new tunnel in Switzerland with a length of 2,462m. The construction of the tunnel started in November 2006 and has been completed at the end of 2013. Our reliable QL induction lighting systems will be used as emergency exit lights. Forty-nine QL 55W systems have been installed in Luxo 1 and Luxo 2 luminaires by Hugentobler Spezialleuchten.

QL induction lighting was chosen because the customer is very satisfied with several QL installations in other projects.

Il nostro recentissimo progetto presso la stazione ferroviaria di Brussels in Belgio : già partito veloce come un eurostar e che verrà ultimato entro pochi giorni !
In questo progetto abbiamo sostituito nei corpi esistenti - faretti ad incasso - solo la fonte luminosa ( retrofit) : una 100 SDW-T con una QL 85W presso la piattaforma degli EUROSTAR.
I costi di manutenzione in una delle stazioni ferroviarie più trafficate del middle Europe si ridurranno drasticamente, grazie alla longevità delle lampade ad induzione. La qualità della luce lascerà stupefatti ! Restate connessi per le foto dei risultati finali !

Railway station Brussels – Belgium

Brussels-South is Europe’s principal rail hub. It’s the ideal starting point for getting to Germany, France, The Netherlands, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom. It is the busiest railway station in Brussels with almost 55.000 travellers on week days.
The disruption and cost of maintaining the lighting system on the Eurostar station can be reduced dramatically. But what was the best solution to replace the old lighting system? The existing downlights were still in good condition. Replacing the entire fixture was not the most economically and environmentally sustainable manner to upgrade the lighting system.
QL Company was asked to provide an energy efficient and low maintenance retrofit for the existing downlights. We have designed a QL 85W retrofit kit to replace 100W SDW-T and tested it on the Eurostar platform. The first 100 downlights were retrofitted and installed back into the ceiling last week. A second batch of approximately 100 pieces will follow shortly!

San Diego in California ha recentemente avviato un progetto in tutta la città per sostituire l'80% dei lampioni con dispositivi a basso consumo energetico che emettono una luce più bianca, più simile alla luce del sole . Più di 35.000 vapori al sodio alta pressione sono stati sostituiti con la tecnologia ad induzione QL.
La città ha scelto l' induzione QL anziché i LED per il ciclo di vita di 20 anni e una luce migliore.

"Brighter, more efficient streetlights yield more than $2 million in annual savings".The city of San Diego started a citywide project to upgrade 80 percent of the city's street lights to energy-efficient fixtures that produce a whiter light that is more like sunlight.
More than 35,000 induction technology street light fixtures will replace the old sodium vapor lamps. The city chose QL induction lighting over LED lamps because a 20-year life-cycle study showed broad band induction lights saved more energy, were less expensive and provided better light.

Overvoltage

Molte città stanno optando per il risparmio energetico nell’ illuminazione delle aree comuni. Le soluzioni delle moderne tecnologie si basano sulla riduzione dei costi di manutenzione e la lunga durata. Ma cosa succede se la tecnologia è suscettibile di sovratensione / picchi? Le due principali cause di sovratensione sono: transitorie e transitorie dovute alla commutazione di sistema o alle scariche elettriche.
Anche se la tecnologia a LED ha molti vantaggi, rimane lo svantaggio dei costi più alti per la sostituzione della componentistica rispetto alle altre tecnologie . Oltre a ciò i LED sono più sensibili alle sovratensioni, mentre la tecnologia ad induzione QL è meno soggetta ai picchi ed è quindi l'alternativa perfetta ai LED. Le scariche elettriche non danneggiano il generatore ad alta frequenza. Esso è in grado di sopportare sbalzi e picchi fino a 4 kV, secondo la norma EN61000-4-5. Many cities are switching towards energy saving lighting solutions for public areas. These solutions are sold on the basis of low maintenance and long life. But what if the technology is susceptible to overvoltage/surges? The two major causes of transient overvoltage have been recognized: system switching transients and transients triggered or excited by lightning discharges. Although LED technology has a lot of advantages, it has the disadvantage over other luminaire technologies that replacement costs for equipment are higher and that LEDs are more susceptible to surges. The QL induction technology is less susceptible to surges and the perfect alternative to LED.
Main transients and dips will not harm the HF generator. The generator can withstand surges and spikes up to 4kV, according to EN61000-4-5. “La soluzione ad induzione QL in un parco cittadino : il caso di Collecchio"
A Collecchio in provincia di Parma, nel bel parco cittadino ‘Fortunato Nevicati’ sono stati installati a fine anni ’90 alcuni globi ancora in condizioni accettabili. Si è proceduto quindi con il solo retrofit delle sorgenti luminose passando dai vapori di mercurio 125W a QL 55W. L’assemblaggio è facile e veloce : l’installatore o il tecnico comunale ci mette non più di 15 minuti per apparecchio. Si monta l’alimentatore QL sulla stessa base di quello della lampada ai vapori di mercurio 125W e si assembla l’induttore QL insieme al dissipatore di calore sulla staffetta della lampada ai vapori di mercurio. L’installazione è in loco, senza che i globi vengano smontati dai pali e il risultato è una bella luce naturale nel parco, non aggressiva ed abbagliante.

INDICE S/P : che cos'è ? S/P RATIO : what is it?

La sensibilità dell’occhio umano varia a seconda delle condizioni di illuminazione ( bassa, scarsa o normale). La visione dell’occhio umano in condizioni di bassa luminosità è chiamata visione scotopica ed è indicata con un indice, chiamato indice S/P. La maggior parte degli strumenti idonei  alla misurazione delle grandezze fotometriche quali, illuminamento e luminanza,sono costruiti con sensori la cui risposta spettrale simula la curva dell’osservatore standard CIE secondo la visione fotopica ( visione dell’occhio umano in condizioni normali). Ci sono molti casi reali dove i livelli di illuminamento bassi attivano i fotoricettori dell’occhio, coni e bastoncelli,in modo diverso dalla visione fotopica e più similmente vicini alla visione scotopica. Con l’introduzione dei LED, la misura con la sola visione fotopica introduce un grosso errore rispetto al giudizio visivo in condizioni di basso o scarso illuminamento.
Come l’illuminazione a LED,anche le lampade ad induzione QL hanno un elevato rapporto S/P e questo spiega in parte perché con un basso wattaggio QL sia in grado di sostituire lampade come quelle al sodio ad alta pressione o a vapori di mercurio con un elevato wattaggio. Confrontando i valori di lumen secondo il rapporto S/P si comprende come le lampade QL possano sostituire le lampade SAP e di altre fonti tradizionali

The sensitivity of the human eye varies depending on the lighting conditions (low or  normal). The vision of the human eye in low light conditions is called scotopic and is indicated by an index, called S / P. Most of the photometric  measuring instruments for  illuminance and luminance, are built with sensors whose spectral response curve simulates the CIE standard observer according to photopic vision (vision of the human eye under normal conditions). There are many cases where the low lighting levels  activate the photoreceptors of the eye, the rods and cones, so differently  from the photopic vision and more similarly close to the scotopic. With the introduction of LED, the measure with the single photopic vision introduces a big mistake with respect to the visual judgment under low or poor lighting.
Like LED lighting QL Induction has a high S/P ratio and this partly explains why low wattage QL is able to replace high wattage high pressure sodium and other traditional sources. Comparing the pupil lumen values in the comparison table the different SON light sources can be exchanged by QL.

Nell'agosto 2014, Primark, a Waterford, (Penneys in Irlanda) si è rinnovato e ha aumentato la sua superficie a 44.000 metri quadri, suddivisi su due piani.
Per la superficie illuminata sopra le scale mobili è stata scelta l'induzione QL da 85W per avere una maggiore uniformità luminosa. La manutenzione risultava difficoltosa ma grazie alle 100.000 ore garantite dalle lampade QL, il problema è stato risolto.

Primark Waterford

In August 2014, Primark (called Penneys in Ireland) opened itsnewly renovated and expanded store in Waterford. This mostrecent renovation has double the size of the store to 44,000 sq ft over two floors, taking in the former Belfry Hotel on Conduit Lane. One of the areas that required a reliable and high quality lighting solution was the ceiling situated above the busy escalators which had to have a good uniform light level. This was again a job for our field-proven QL technology that guarantees a rated life of 100,000

L'Arkansas State Capitol fu costruito tra il 1899 e il 1915 al posto del vecchio penitenziario statale. L'interno del duomo è illuminato con sistemi ad induzione QL da 55W, i quali creano un bellissimo profilo e l'illuminazione centrale appare come un gioiello!

The Arkansas State Capitol (US) was constructed between 1899 and 1915 on the site of the old state penitentiary. The building houses six of the seven constitutional offices and the House and Senate Chambers, which offer public galleries where you can watch legislators at work when in session.  The inside of the dome is illuminated by QL induction lighting. Over 100 pcs QL 55W systems were installed to create this beautiful atmosphere.

Lungo i canali e nelle piazze di Utrecht

Atmosfera di altri tempi nelle strade di Utrecht.
Dal 1993 le lampade ad induzione QL illuminano le strade lungo i canali e le piazze di Utrecht. Il retrofit con QL 55W è stato fatto nelle lanterne originali, disegnate dal famoso artista olandese Pyke Koch.

Historical street lighting in Utrecht

Utrecht is one of the most historical and important cities of
the Netherlands. Along the canals and squares you will
find the cast iron columns with historical lanterns. These
lanterns, designed by the famous Dutch artist Pyke Koch,
contributes to the special atmosphere in this centuries-old
university town.
Before 1993, the lanterns were equipped with two lamps, one
TL-E 32W and a SL-18W lamp. Maintenance in this area was
hard because the use of heavy equipment was restricted. To
ensure public safety in the city centre, the municipality decided
to replace all the lamps every two years.
In 1993 the city tested the QL system along one of the busiest
canals of Utrecht. The 85W lamp was too bright, but the QL
55W lamp provided an appropriate level of illumination. To
create a warm and welcoming ambience for citizens and
tourists, the city selected a 2300K lamp which was specially
produced for Utrecht.
Since then, the municipality of Utrecht converted 1000 historical
lanterns to QL induction lighting. Replacement of the lamp
system is now only required after more than 15 years. Besides
the savings on maintenance, the QL lamps also improved the
quality of light and public safety. Facades of buildings are better
lit at night due to the wider beam of the QL light source.

San Francisco’s Exploratorium opened in 1969 with the emphasis on hands-on learning and fun. Back then, ‘Don’t touch!’ signs were customary, but the Exploratorium rewrote the rules for the stuffy museum world. Through its interactive exhibits the Exploratorium
fosters communication between people and the Bay itself.
On April 17, 2013, the Exploratorium reopened at Piers 15 and 17 on San Francisco’s Bay. The historic interior and exterior at Pier 15 was renovated extensively to make it the largest net-zero energy museum in the country. This means that the building generates as much energy as it uses.
Lighting designer David Nelson was tasked with providing an environmentally-friendly lighting solution for a site that presented a unique set of lighting challenges. The lighting solutions are required to withstand a marine-grade environment, meet strict lighting
egress codes and provide dark-sky friendly illumination. Based on these criteria’s, David Nelson selected WE-EF FLA700 series area floodlights to illuminate the exterior plazas.
Mounted on 18-foot high custom steel poles, FLA760s with 'side throw' optics illuminate the exterior walkways and public areas. The luminaires are fitted with 85W QL induction lamps,which is an efficient long-life source of illumination. The luminaires are carefully controlled to reduce energy usage during night-time hours, yet still provide the required lighting levels for safety purposes.
