I have never liked this time of the year...when you wake up in the morning , it's still dark ; you go out and it's too cold...rainy, snowy...everything's frozen...so is my creativity right now...Well, I want, in any case, to remain positive and identify this period with the work of some students of Bolzano University, led by Claudio Larcher,Simone Simonelli and Carmelo Marabello. They have made the drawings, the projects and finally the prototypes and the pieces, using marble and highlighting its versatility. The results can be a beautiful lamp ( as above), even shoes and many other items! They have then combined the marble ( the one used comes from Lasa, Val Venosta) with other materials like wood,rubber, wool, fabrics.
A great way to make marble less cold and use it differently.They could "unfrozen" the marble...let's see if I can do the same for myself..
Non ho mai amato questo periodo dell'anno...quando ti alzi la mattina è ancora buio; esci e fa freddo,piove, nevica,tutto è congelato...come la mia creatività...In ogni caso voglio mantenermi positiva e vorrei identificare questo periodo con i progetti di alcuni studenti dell'Università di Bolzano guidati da Claudio Larcher, Simone Simonelli e Carmelo Marabello : hanno realizzato dapprima i disegni, poi i prototipi e infine i modelli, affinando via via i progetti per mettere in risalto la versatilità della materia. Scoprendo che il marmo (quello utilizzato proviene da Lasa, Val Venosta) può essere abbinato al legno come alla gomma, al feltro come alla stoffa. Un bel modo per rendere meno freddo un materiale come il marmo ed utilizzarlo in maniera diversa dal solito.Loro sono riusciti a "scongelare"il marmo...chissà se riesco anch'io a fare lo stesso per me stessa..
