Crystal Cylinders of light

Cerith Wyn Evans, S=U=P=E=R=S=T=R=U=C=T=U=R=E ("Trace me back to some loud, shallow, chill, underlying motive's overspill…"), 2010.

 These are light cylinders made of crystals; the so called " light sculptures" by Cerith Wyn Evans !  At first glance they immediately reminded me of those awesome crystal chandeliers which can be found now just in 5 stars hotel or maharaja palaces! But this welsh artist could go far beyond!

Sono cilindri luminosi di cristallo,le cosidette "sculture di luce" di Cerith Wyn Evans! Appena li ho visti mi hanno subito fatto pensare a quei meravigliosi lampadari di cristallo che ormai si possono vedere solo negli hotel a 5 stelle o nei palazzi dei maharaja! Ma questo artista gallese é riuscito ad andare molto oltre!
