QL CLEARSKY

QL Clearsky is the answer to the worldwide increasing light pollution. Initially Clearsky was developed by Philips in 2008. QL Company redeveloped the product which has resulted in an extended reliable lifetime of 100,000 hours like all other QL Series. 

The offshore industry experienced that their lights at sea cause many problems for migrating birds. QL Clearsky with reduced “red” light attracts less migratory birds to the platform and prevents them of getting disoriented so that they reach their destination more easily.

Current customers state that the “green” light improves contrast, appears brighter and less blinding than other light sources. People have two types of light detectors in the eye, the cones and rods. Cones dominate during daylight conditions. The rods, sensitive to blue and green, dominate at night and at low light levels. Clearsky is considered to be comfortable and safe to work in.

The QL Clearsky is perfect for industrial and low traffic applications in rural area’s where light pollution is an issue. The lamps are available in 55W, 85W and 165W.

QL Clearsky è la risposta al crescente inquinamento luminoso a livello planetario.Nel 2008 Philips fu la prima a presentare questo prodotto .QL ha ripreso poi in mano il progetto e lo ha esteso ad una durata di 100.000 ore come tutti gli altri della serie QL. L'industria offshore ha sperimentato che le loro installazioni luminose causano molti problemi agli uccelli migratori. QL Clearsky avendo una ridotta luce "rossa" attrae meno gli uccelli migratori verso le piattaforme e impedisce loro di essere disorientati in modo che raggiungano la loro destinazione più facilmente. Gli attuali clienti affermano che la luce "verde" migliora il contrasto, appare più luminosa e meno accecante rispetto ad altre fonti di luce. Questo perché le persone hanno due tipi di rivelatori di luce negli occhi : i coni e bastoncelli.  I coni dominano in condizioni di luce diurna.I bastoncelli , sensibili al blu e al verde, dominano la notte e con bassi livelli di luce. Clearsky è considerata sicura e confortevole durante le ore di lavoro. QL Clearsky è perfetta per le applicazioni industriali e in zone poco trafficate. Le lampade sono disponibili in 55W, 85W e 165W.

Temporary Installation by  melogranoblu at SUPERSTUDIO - Via Tortona, 27 Milano during FUORI SALONE 2013

This time I enjoyed Euroluce 2013 very much, hanging around with my colleagues and stopping by at many stands...sometimes invited by customers for a good Prosecco cheers... I visited all four halls, met some customers and found new business opportunities. That's all everyone can expect from a good fair! Not very crowded but visitors coming from all over the world. The exhibitors were less in number compared to previous editions, but I must admit the quality of the lighting fixtures was really amazing! Not exciting technological products, but design and first quality materials were certainly there! I am preparing a dedicated slideshow to EUROLUCE 2013 in my blog shortly, so that everyone can be inspired.

For celebrating EUROLUCE 2013, I have chosen this temporary installation by melogranoblu. It was presented at SUPERSTUDIO in Via Tortona, 27 Milano for FUORI SALONE, the now very famous melting pot during the various editions of SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE.

Stavolta a EUROLUCE 2013 mi sono proprio divertita, gironzolando con i miei colleghi, fermandoci in numerosi stand...a volte invitati per un brindisi con del buon Prosecco.. Ho visitato tutti 4 i padiglioni, incontrato alcuni clienti e trovato alcune nuove opportunità di collaborazione. E' tutto quello che ognuno si aspetterebbe da un buon evento fieristico! Non affollatissimo ma visitatori da tutto il mondo.Meno espositori rispetto alle passate edizioni però devo ammettere che la qualità dei prodotti era davvero eccellente! Non grandi novità tecnologiche ma design e qualità decisamente al top!. Sto preparando una slideshow dedicata a EUROLUCE 2013 qui sul mio blog a breve, così da ispirare qualcuno..
