The first time I met Arjens Van Gammeren, one of the owners at QUASAR, was more than ten years ago. I was immediately amazed by his height - well impossible not to be..-and by his perfect italian with dutch accent. I visited then his very classy showroom in Holland : already some years back, before becoming a very trendy idea worldwide, he renewed an historical house and strolling around this house - which apparently gave the idea of a high class private house- you could enjoy all his creative lighting products. It's one of those moments in life and places that you can never forget. Last but not least Arjens and his family are exceptionally friendly and courteous. I hardly found people like that.Now his company QUASAR is well established and he's one of the most creative lighting manufacturer in his country, well known worldwide.
I 'd like to spend some words on his new products MATCH of their green products' family : they use LED in an energy efficiency version. I present here the picture of MATCH TABLE LAMP ( sizes 6x6,3x1,5 cm lightsource 3 watt LED) and MATCH XL TABLE LAMP (12X12,6X3 cm lightsource 8 watt LED). The designer is Jos Muller and the material is polished aluminium with acrylic.

La prima volta che incontrai Arjens Van Gammeren,uno dei titolari di QUASAR, é stato più di dieci anni fa. Ciò che mi colpì fu l'altezza - e come si potrebbe non notarla.. ? - e il suo elegante italiano con accento olandese. Visitai poi la sua showroom in Olanda di gran classe : già anni fa ebbe la brillante idea di rinnovare una casa d'epoca, prima che tale idea diventasse una tendenza a livello mondiale : mentre gironzoli per questa casa, dandoti l'idea di una casa privata di alta classe, ti imbatti qua e là in diversi prodotti luminosi di sua creazione. Fu uno di quei momenti nella vita e uno di quei luoghi impossibili da dimenticare. Inoltre Arjens e tutta la sua famiglia sono estremamente gentili e disponibili. Difficilmente ho incontrato tanta squisitezza nelle persone. Ora, QUASAR è un'azienda riconosciuta a livello mondiale e una delle più creative in Olanda.
Vorrei soffermarmi sui loro nuovi prodotti MATCH che fanno parte della loro famiglia "verde" , cioé usare il LED in termini di efficienza energetica.
