Ogni anno i visitatori aumentano e c'è sempre una maggiore attenzione al restauro di architetture ed arredi. Occasioni uniche ed irripetibili per artigiani ed industrie. Anche per il settore illuminazione. In queste foto lampadari e lanterne restaurati presso Villa Borromeo d'Adda ad Arcore : una visita tra il tradizionale e la realtà aumentata. Ville Aperte in Brianza is an event at its 17th edition. 150 sites, including historical buildings, residences, churches, parks and gardens, open until Sunday 29 September in 72 municipalities in 5 Lombard provinces. Giovanardi : quando l'azienda dialoga con l'arte

Giovanardi Spa è nata nel 1919: nel corso di questo secolo ha attraversato tanti cambiamenti e ha saputo rinnovarsi ogni volta, anche modificando il proprio business. Era una piccola azienda di timbri, placche e inchiostri ed oggi è una realtà composta da 70 persone, occupandosi di espositori, vetrine, punti vendita, arte.

Giovanardi Spa was born in 1919: during XX century many changes occured and  they have been able to renew themselves every time, even modifying their business. They started as a small company of stamps, plates and inks and today they are 70 people, dealing with exhibitors, shop windows,retail,art.

Anna - Monumento all'Attenzione di Giovanni Moretti

Il metodo di lavoro della Giovanardi parte dall'ascolto del cliente, da un’ispirazione iniziale. Da qui nasce un dialogo per approfondire, comprendere a fondo le esigenze, visualizzare l’obiettivo da raggiungere insieme. Proprio con questo metodo è iniziata un'emozionante collaborazione con l'artista Gianni Moretti per la realizzazione del progetto Anna - Monumento all'Attenzione. Questo monumento è nato da due necessità : ricordare e riparare quello che la strage nazifascista del 12 agosto 1944 ha distrutto. Questo progetto è stato pensato per un luogo specifico : Sant'Anna di Stazzema ( Lucca) ed è dedicato ad Anna Pardini, la più giovane vittima dell'eccidio, di appena venti giorni.

Giovanardi's working method starts from listening to the client, from an initial inspiration. From this point a dialogue can be built up to fully understand the needs, visualize the target to be achieved together. It was with this method that an exciting collaboration began with the artist Gianni Moretti for the realization of Anna - Monumento all'Attenzione project. This monument was born for fulfilling two necessities: remembering and repairing what the Nazi-fascist massacre of 12 August 1944 destroyed. This project was designed for a specific place: Sant'Anna di Stazzema (Lucca) and is dedicated to Anna Pardini, the youngest victim of the massacre, of just twenty days.

Nella splendida cornice dell'Orangerie della Villa Reale di Monza è ospitata dal 6 al 23 settembre la prima edizione della mostra "INDART - Industries Join Art", un evento innovativo che promuove la produzione artistica sostenuta da una cultura mecenatistica legata al tessuto industriale del Paese.

Mi vorrei soffermare su due opere in particolare perché è pensiero comune che laddove ci sia una produzione meccanica manchi spesso qualsiasi ispirazione artistica. In realtà, anche il più semplice oggetto meccanico nasce dal pensiero di un designer che di solito chiamiamo ingegnere. Conosco molto bene questa esigenza e ricordo che a metà anni '90, nell'impresa di famiglia, un'azienda metalmeccanica, leader nel settore della componentistica per illuminazione, ad un certo punto ci fu l'esigenza di coniugare la propria produzione di componenti con l'ausilio della creatività di veri designer. Eravamo agli albori e i risultati della collaborazione non furono eclatanti. Vista la proposta di INDART oggi, mi fa davvero molto piacere vedere e sapere che un connubio vincente tra arte e meccanica e più in generale tra INDUSTRIA  e ARTE è invece possibile. Bravi!

The first edition of the exhibition "INDART - Industries Join Art", an innovative event,promoting the artistic production supported by a patronage culture linked to the industrial field in Brianza, will take place  in the beautiful Orangerie of the Royal Villa in Monza from 6 to 23 September.

I would like to focus on two works in particular because it is a common thought that where there is a mechanical production often lacks any artistic inspiration. To be honest, even the simplest mechanical object comes from the thought of a designer that we usually call engineer. I know  this need quite  well and I remember that in the mid-90s, in the family business, a leader company in the lighting components field, at a certain point the need was  to match the production of components with the aid of the creativity of  designers. We were pioneers and at that time the results of the collaboration were not brilliant. I am very pleased to see and know that the experiment of INDART is indeed  a winning formula and that  between art and mechanics and more in general between INDUSTRY and ART the co-operation is possible. 

Un Artista Ultracontemporaneo

Fino al 13 maggio, presso Villa Vertua Masolo, a Nova Milanese, LUCE, MATERIA, DIFFRAZIONI,FLUORESCENZE, la personale di Marco Mariani, artista italiano dallo spirito eclettico. Dopo decenni passati a dipingere quadri astratti e materici, a partire dai primi anni del 2000, le sue opere si illuminano, vedono l'irrompere della luce nella materia con le sue creazioni di "sistemi materia-luce" fino a giungere alle recenti opere trasparenti su plexiglas.

Until May 13th 2018, at Villa Vertua Masolo, in Nova Milanese, LIGHT, MATERIA, DIFFRAZIONI, FLUORESCENZE, the personal exhibition of Marco Mariani, an Italian artist with an eclectic spirit. After decades of abstract and material paintings, starting from the early years of 2000, his works light up with his creations of "material-light systems" up to the recent transparent works on plexiglas.

CONVIVIANDO - L'arte della tavola

La mise en place come scenografia dell'essere, rappresentazione di sé e della società, gioco perpetuo tra arte e idealità. È il tema ispiratore della bella mostra CONVIVIANDO tenutasi recentemente a Palazzo Reale, Milano,esplorato attraverso oltre tre secoli di storia e una serie di film che hanno segnato il nostro immaginario, quali COCO CHANEL & IGOR STRAVINSKY del 2009 o VATEL del 2000. L'illuminazione a tavola gioca un ruolo fondamentale e nei vari percorsi della mostra s'intuisce l'utilizzo delle varie fonti luminose nel passare dei secoli : nel periodo Barocco tutto era preparato per stupire e si usavano metalli preziosi, come i candelabri in argento. Nel Settecento si passa a materiali quali la porcellana, per poi arrivare via via agli anni Ruggenti,riferendosi al film IL GRANDE GATSBY del 2013 col ritorno del candelabro, però con scopo meramente decorativo. Oggi si parla di avere una luce corretta a tavola per rendere l'esperienza culinaria ancora più appagante e soddisfacente.La mostra termina in un ambiente futuristico total white,ispirandosi al film EX MACHINA del 2014 in cui la luce la fa da padrona e...a noi rimangono solo pillole di cibo....alimentazione essenziale, esaltata da una esasperata ricerca estetica. Sarà davvero così ?

The mise en place as a stage for being, a representation of the self and society, an endless game of art and dream. This is the main theme of the interesting exhibition CONVIVIANDO, held at Palazzo Reale, Milano,explored thru more than three centuries of history and a series of movies that have left a mark in our imagination, as COCO CHANEL & IGOR STRAVINSKY (2009) or VATEL (2000).

Lighting plays a fundamental role on the table and in the various exhibition's stages we can understand the use of various light sources over the centuries: in the Baroque period everything was prepared for amusement and precious metals were used, such as silver candlesticks. In the eighteenth century porcelain was the most precious material, and then gradually to the Roaring years, referring to the THE GREAT GATSBY of 2013 with the return of the candlestick, but with just a decorative purpose. Today we talk about having a proper light at the table to make the culinary experience even more satisfying. The exhibition ends in a futuristic total white room, inspired by the film EX MACHINA of 2014 in which light is the master and .. food is in pills .... essential and exalted by an exasperated aesthetic research. Will it  be really like that?

Sempre attuali e di gran classe, proprio secondo la migliore cultura italiana del fare e del fare bene. Tutta la gamma viene ricavata da piastre in ottone da orologeria e realizzate secondo le più antiche tradizioni fiorentine.Il design è stato studiato da esperti di arredo urbano e pertanto tutti i modelli ben si adattano alle esigenze estetiche di fabbricati antichi e moderni.Le rifiniture sono molteplici fino al martellato a mano, con e senza basi in marmo e su richiesta del cliente.

At the top of Giotto tower, we rang....our bells ! I quote the title that PULSANTERIE TOSCANE has given to this wonderful picture of our beloved Florence ... a timeless image ... exactly as the items of the company: push-buttons and bells. Always up-to-date and classy, ​​according to the best Italian culture of doing and doing well. The whole range is obtained from brass plates, usually used for watches and made according to the most ancient Florentine traditions.The design has been studied by urban design experts and therefore all the models meet well the aesthetic needs of ancient and modern buildings. The finishings are available in different styles like hammered by hand, with and without marble bases and custom-made.

FASHIONCAMP 10-11 JUNE 2011 : unconference and...unlighting

I attended the second edition of FASHION CAMP 2011 in Milano, an event about fashion, new tendencies, creativity, art, workshops, (un)conferences. In a word, everything related to the fashion world in a very informal way. Even the location SPAZIO EX ANSALDO looks very much informal.

And even at this event I was so lucky to find ...a lighting fixture! Unfortunately I couldn't meet the creator, but I am ready to give him full credit, in case he/she or someone else is ready to give me his/her name!

Ho partecipato alla seconda edizione del FASHIONCAMP 2011 a Milano, un evento sulla moda, nuove tendenze, creatività, arte, laboratori, (non)conferenze. In poche parole tutto ciò che riguarda il mondo della moda in modo molto informale.Anche il luogo SPAZIO EX ANSALDO é molto informale. Ed anche a questo evento ho avuto la fortuna di incontrare... un lampadario! Sfortunatamente non so chi sia il creatore, ma sono pronta a dargli/le il giusto credito, nel caso lui/lei o qualcun'altro mi dia il suo nome!
